Ignorance

Ignorance is a philosophical poem about what the point in life is. The poem states how ignorant we are about the true meaning of life and we life our lives on this basis. Larkin goes onto question how we do not know the true philosophical meaning of it all, but at the end he realises that knowing would be too dangerous for a single person to know. So we continue to live our lives without this knowledge for the best.
